It may seem like a basic question, but I'll ask anyway. I have my car back from paint, and want to install the front bumper and mounting brackets. I currently have the bumper attached to the mounting brackets.

Can I install the bumper and brackets as an assembly if I drop the valance, or will I not be able to get to the upper valance attachment bolts once the bumper is in place?

Bumper install without the valence is the right way to do it, if you value the valence and not chipping the heck out of it. Yes, getting the bolts in on the valence ends (to the fenders) is a little challenging, but is do-able. Hope this helps.

I had my valance on all nice and lined up and then realized later that I've got to take it back off to put the dang bumper on. Oh well! Getting the valance lined up to the fenders is the hardest part for me.
