I have a question for any knowledgable exponents. I recently got a convertible in the original owners manual it specifies ATF fluid fro the roof hydraulics, there is a clear fluid in the reservoir at the moment and of course I don't want to mix different fluids. These cars are a bit like hens teeth here in Oz so I can't source any info locally. Maybe someone there can tell me what is commonly in use these days, whether after market units use different fluids and how to identify them. Cheers. Jon.

Use type F transmission fluid in the power top pump. Anything else will probably destroy it eventually or cause leaks. Just my 2 cents.
