Untill my last move, I had a perfect used '69 windshield that I was going to use in my vert. (It got a long crack when I was trying to carefully wrap it up for transport so it was rendered trash):cry:

Now that I must get a new windshield, I am wondering if they make one with the radio antenna built in like they do for some of the new cars?

I recall the antenna in the windshield glass as a General Motors thing?

From my experience (75 Firebird), having the antenna wire embedded in the windshield was not a good thing. It was very directional and there can be interference when the wipers are being used.

Check in Street Rodder magazine. There are companies who advertise in there that make hidden antennas for street rods which might work well on a Cougar.
