Interesting find on ebay this morning...

Says it is a factory 2-tone paint scheme (white over blue, white interior), and looks like a sport special. 351 2v / 3spd car. Rough.

Why didn't Mercury make any XR7 sport specials? Some marketing guys definitely missed the mark there...The color combo is great on this Cougar though. Throw in a 4 speed to replace the 3 speed, and this would have been a keeper, worthy of restoration. But as is, I'm not sure anyone will fix this car, it would make a great parts car though.

Another one on CL. $3500. 351 / auto, not a 2-tone tho. LOOKS like a sport special. Flowery hubcaps, and looks like the scoop on the rocker.
