OK folks i'm new to this great site. my 15yr old son has purchased a 69 std 351w 4v fmx
from my brother as his first car. my first car was a 71 cougar, then a 73XR7 and then a 69 stang fastback but I haven't worked on anything like these for 25 plus years. we need to glue the pass side window back in the channel. the local auto glass guy who supposedly works on classics says we need to glue the channels on the glass out of the door then intall it after it sets up. IIRC we used to do it with the channels in the door and roll up the window in place and then let it set up. I'm loooking for any tips or suggestions.
looking foward to getting to know you all and working on this classic with my son.
Thanks, Jeff

Good for you and your son working together. If you are going to use the 69 glass, I to would glue the glass while in the door, and roll up window to match the quarter glass and let dry.
