I finally located a nice 69 351W heat shield (heat stove tube?), but can't seem to figure out how to get it installed on the rh exhaust manifold. There doesn't seem to be enough room between the shock tower and the exhaust manifold to slide it into place. Has anyone else figure out a way to get this piece installed? (The part that I'm referring to is the metal piece that fits over the RH exhaust manifold and connects to the air cleaner snorkel.

If the weather co-operates, I will try and take a picture and post it here. I still have the original engine, exhaust manifold & heat shield in my 69 351W.

It will fit but it's tough to maneuver in there without scratching the shock tower, the heat shield or both.
