Interesting ideas on the tail lights. Isn't the 65 T bird tail light the same used on the 68 Shelby? They do look much the same. I'd imagine with the right custom made rear filler panel it would be possible.
If they even came CLOSE to fitting, I think they would look..... weird.
Now, I've thought about '71-'72 TL's on my '73; but only because one of my originals suffers from the dreaded "backup-light-separated-from-the-rest-of-the-lens" syndrome. Well, that and the trim rings look like somebody tried to pry them off with a sharpened 2x4.
EDIT: Just went out and looked at her.... [email protected]! The pass side lens has the big old (and I mean OLD) crack at the "middle bulb". And those "trim rings"? Yeah, that's one entire unit across the back. Jeeeeeeze. Which PN (Previous Nimrod) tried to take them apart THAT way?
