69 and 70 center console. Are they the same, or different? I need some advice, as someone if offering me a 70 console.

70 console does not have lighter on the console but they are basically the same

69's also have places for the seat belts to clip to on top of the console. I don't believe 70's have it.

From what I've seen, the slots for the seat belts is the biggest difference. I think the 70 console looks better.

the previous posts are right, the 69 has seat belt slots and a cigarette lighter. also the later 70 consoles have a a push button for the console lid on the side. hawkrod

except the part about about seat belts slots in the old thread is wrong. all 69 consoles had seat belt slots. deluxe seat belts just meant you got a chrome ring instead of a color keyed one on the buckle. it is clear in the parts book, they all had the seat belt slots in 69. hawkrod
