I need to recover both the front and back seats, I know the front set from the 68 mustang will fit but does anyone know if the back cover is the same or at least close enough to work with?

Mustang kits go for about $145 the cougar goes for $289.

Whats up with that?

Are you sure the mustang covers will fit the cougar seats? I think the cougar seats are thicker on both the seat and the back. I know for sure a '64-'66 mustang seat is thinner since I have a '64 1/2 stang conv. But I am not completely sure about the '67-'67 stang. There may be a reason why they are not sold at the same price, they may not be the same.
Someone else on this board may be able to shed more light. If not let me know and I'll go post on the vintage mustang board and ask the question.

I used Mustang covers on my 68. They fit, though the upholstry guy said it wasn't perfect, but any descrepencies are out of view.

If anyone wants to buy some 68 cougar seats, i have both the front and the back for sale, in extremely good condition. They have the black standard version of the trim.
