Guys -

putting together a '68 390 4V (non GT), except everything above intake is missing...

Was the carb spacer a carrythru from previous years, it's own part # for '68, or was it a hard cardboard wafer type?

i'm using an edelbrock 5/16 thk spacer with a demon carb---i don't think there is enough room over the air cleaner for much more

The spacer was originally a composite material, black color, about 5/16" thick. Nice reproductions are available here:

I might have a good used original. I can look if interested. I know there's a few spacers in my parts boxes.
