does anyone know if the LH remote mirror is the same as 67 Galaxie? Also is the knob with the round bulb correct or a straight chrome knob

I don't know for sure either way, are you trying to buy or sell one?

It is not, the LH remote mirror is unique to the Cougar. The arm/mount is unique due to the body shape of the Cougar. The Galaxie mirror is unique to the big Fords and Mercurys -- I don't know if it is the same for the mid-sized Fairlanes/Comets or not.
