THERE ARE TWO VERSIONS OF THE 289 FOR TRANS AM.
TWO 4'S AND A SINGLE 4. BUD MOORE USED THE TWO FOURS AND SOME INDEPENDENTS USED A SINGLE 4 BBL. SETUP. I AND USING THE SINGLE 4 SET UP AS I WILL SAVE APROX. 12 POUNDS AND ABOUT $400. MUCH EASIER TO TUNE AND DELIVERS ALMOST EXACTLY THE SAME HORSE POWER. MY ENGINE WILL BE A VINTAGE HOLMAN AND MOODY POWER PLANT.
