I am in the process of re-installing the console in my '67 standard and have a question concerning the wiring. When I removed the console, none of the wiring was connected (some of it wasn't even there). There was a two-wire connector coming up from under the carpet, which I'm guessing goes to the shift indicator light as it gets power when the ignition is turned on. There were no other connectors visible after removing the console (except radio related). Does the console light harness ultimately connect to wiring from the dash?

My search found a similar question from '02 with 171 views and no replies!

Thanks!

On my '67, the console lighting has a single male connector that plugs into female connector near the breakers. I connected the ground to one of the two bolt on the rear radio support bracket.
