Any one have a sugestion for a set of headers. The stock set even looks slow . I would like to keep the price around 200.

The cheapest ones out there are the Hooker Super Comps for about $300. They don't mate up correctly with 390 GT heads, they tend to develop leaks. The Hooker headers are designed to work properly with 16 bolt heads such as 428CJ or Edelbrock aluminum units.

FPA headers fit better, about $400.

I think thats whats on mine the hookers.They fit REALLY tight.Who ever put mine on I think raised the motor to bolt them on.The evidence showed,they raised it by the oil pan and pushed it in a bit.
