I've been looking around for a replacement to my 351W dual point distributor, hoping that it'll give me better performance. Saw a Pro Comp electronic distributor for a 302. Would the shaft be the right length for my 351W? I think I read in some other thread that the manufacturer was a copyright infringer (shipfitter?).

It is a different length, and they are not a good buy. Either A Ford Duraspark, or MSD are way better options.

While the over length is the same, a 302 uses a 1/4" oil pump drive, and a 351W uses 5/16', so the 'socket' in the bottom of the distributor shaft itself is different. So it won't work.

Another thing if you get a new dizzy - be sure to order one that will clear your intake! If you buy an intake that is taller - you want a dizzy that is taller.....and also buy a good ARP pump shaft. Don't trust the stock one!
