Hi guys....I was just wondering if any of you Ford guys out there with 289/302's had any success by upgrading (?!?) the points in a distributor with a Pertronix? I realize it probably wont create more power, but was wondering if the 60 bucks is worth not hasseling with points again and just how relialble these are.
Any thoughts would be appreciated......

Go with Pertronix. Never have to set points again or put up with lousy timing. Have Pertronix in my 68 and 70. Took 30 minutes to fit and tune and haven't looked at them since. Well worth th money

Hi Taper,

I bought my 67 with the Pertronix already installed. It's been running fine with no adjustments needed. I upgraded to the Pertronix coil and spark plug wires as well. Going by past posts on this subject, it is a good investment.
