I have a 1973 and will be putting on a Edelbrock Airgap intake and holley carb..question is what air cleaner will fit...I'm looking at a 14" procomp unit that comes either 2"/3"/4" tall filter and either a flat or recessed base...Will the recessed base hit my distributor/wires..( I will be converting to Duraspark ) If I go with the flat base is there room enough under the hood for a 3" filter??

A lot of guys have been having issues with hood clearance on the airgap's - Pretty sure you need a drop base

Get the drop base 14" and a K&N filter thats 2.75". Worked on my 67' with a 351C. I put a hunk of plado on the top of the filter and slowly shut the hood to tell me how much space I had between the two (the plado was smashed and had about 1" thickness). Good luck man!
