Selling my 1970 Mercury Cougar XR-7 M code 4 speed. Car is highly optioned with a close ratio RUG-AW close ratio 4 speed toploader( same as a Boss 302), traction-lok differential, power windows, power steering, power disc brakes, competition handling package, rear window defroster, full instrumentation with tachometer and clock, rim blow steering wheel , air conditioning, and so on. Has the 351 Cleveland 4 barrel engine. Car has a lot of great parts for a 4 speed conversion or could be built. Has rust in floor pans, a little in front torque boxes, rear quarters. Frame rails are solid. Vinyl roof was removed years ago, so roof is solid. Car has original FOMOCO radiator. Headlight assemblies were replaced and are highly detailed and very nice. It is a DSO 84 Home Office Reserve car. Car has a hot DIEHard battery, group 27 battery tray. many new parts like starter, battery cables, alternator, fuel pump, rebuilt carburetor, master cylinder, driver side window motor, etc. Car has a dead cylinder, I believe on #6, and engine needs a rebuild. Car should be consider non-operable for transport, but does have brakes, last I checked. As far as running, it probably will, but is hard to start. I ran the gas out of it last time I ran it, and have not cranked it since. Spins over with no problem. I do keep the battery charged. Don't have to worry about getting snakebit, car is stored inside, not in the weeds under a tree. Power windows have switch problems common to the 69-72 Cougars. Sorry, no trades. Car is located in Anniston, Alabama, right in the middle of Atlanta and Birmingham, just off I-20. Call with questions (256)282-4055. Please serious inquiries only. $4500
