1970 XR-7 Hurst 4 Speed Cougar. Only 140 Cougars made with a 351-2V Hurst 4 speed transmission (includes both Cleveland & Windsor motors). This is a very clean unmolested Colorado car with only 86276 original documented miles. Owner has put only 6200 miles on the car since 1993. The car has dual exhaust (installed 80003 miles), new clutch & flywheel, and many other new parts (see list). The data on the car is:
Color - “G” Med Avocado Metallic
Top - Black vinyl
Interior - Black leather
Motor - 351 Windsor 2 bbl
Trans – 4 Speed Wide-ratio

Parts list

1. Rebuilt shifter at Hurst Factory 2-15-98
2. Rebuilt starter 2-23-98
3. New Speedo cable 1-30-98
4. Speedo gear
5. Lower shift boot
6. Lower clutch rod
7. Clutch bar parts (bushings, felts, clips, springs)
8. Clutch fork, seal, shield
9. New clutch kit 12-31-97
10. New Ford flywheel
11. Motor mounts
12. U- Joints
13. KYB shock (all 4)
14. Main bearing seal & pan gasket
15. Power steering hoses & ram
16. New Ford front drive shaft yolk
17. New fuel tank sender float
18. New R. Rear E-brake cable
19. New water pump
20. New cooling fan clutch

22. New A/C vacuum control canister
23. Upper shifter boot
24. Rear brakes, axel seals, New Bendix Master cyl.
25. Reseal top loader transmission
26. New yellow top coil, full tune up
27. New dual exhaust (800003Miles) 9-3-93
28. Heater core (6-14-88)

The car has spectacular chrome. No pitting on the taillights or grill. No car is “rust free”, but this car is as close as you can get. The paint is original and is showing it’s age. The original owner has added a few dings, but nothing major. The car will need new tires as the old ones are cracking from age. I am helping the seller (a good friend) list the car and answer questions as I am the one who has performed all work on the car since he bought it.The owner is asking $10,000 OBO. I will post pic's in my album http://www.mercurycougar.net/gallery/showgallery.php?ppuser=12&cat=500&thumb=1
