I am new to the forum, as I just acquired a '69 "barn find" with a 351W 2V that has been in storage for 38 years. After doing the normal things to bring it back to life, I find myself working on engine compartment wiring, specifically the wires from the neutral safety switch. Interestingly, it appears the trans has been swapped for a C4 (should be an FMX), and the original neutral safety switch wires are still connected from the shifter to the firewall, while the neutral safety switch wires on the C4 are hanging loose. My question is, how do I connect the C4 switch to the factory harness?

I guess for me the question is "why bother?". As it is right now, if it only cranks in Park and Neutral......then the original shifter safety switch is still doing its job......what else do you need. I'd just cap and stow the C4 switch harness and you're good to go.
