My question is: I have a 1969 XR7 vert. The antenna is round and has one telescoping piece to it. Is this correct for the car, or should the antenna be one piece with an "egde" on the front of it and more rounded on the back? At a meet someone was stating that the antenna was wrong on my car. Here is a link to WCCC that has the concourse antenna listed and it looks to me to telescope in one place.

Thanks.

Trying to remember if mine had an airfoil shape to it. Some were equipped that way. I changed mine to the type that came on 72 Montegos many years ago. One-piece fixed stainless mast with a little ball on top. Mast screws into the base.

Don't scream at me, but I'm figuring on fitting an electric antenna to my '68. as the fixed antenna fouls up with the car cover.

I've had both, my AM radio cyclone had the telescoping airfoil shape, my AM/FM cougar has the one piece non retractable round antenna. I couldn't say for sure that yours is oem but it sounds right for AM.

The antenna has two telescoping pieces and base is pointed on front.
