I'm getting ready to reseal my original power steering cylinder, the new kit comes with what looks like a washer, but on one side it has a raised section. The part im talking about is the second part that gets installed , first one of the oil seals, then this spacer.
Which way would it go in, flat side in, or the side with the raised rim?
I'm almost certain the flat side goes in first
I finally got through to west coast classic cougar after a few voicemails and Don said he "couldn't remember".

Sorry I am no help but is that all there is to rebuilding the cylender? That doesn't look to tuff. You need to replace the boot also right? I would rather rebuild mine that get a rebuilt one if it is something I can do.

Yes, very simple if you can get the original seals out without scratching the bores, check out stangersite, hes got some good helpful information
i made up a bushing and drilled mine, then used screws etc
