I am restoring the undercarriage on my 1967 standard coupe. I was wondering if anyone knows where and what paint marks and daubs were used on the undercarriage. Such as front spindles, front swap bar, rear springs, any front suspension part. Do I need to get a 1967 rule book for 1967 mustang. Car was build in Dearborn in June 1967. This has been a tough subject to tackle, but can't seem to find any good facts or photos anywhere on this subject.

As a Mustang guy I don't know of any marks on these items you mention . 6 cyl. cars ran 1 3/4 inch shoe while the V8 ran a 2 inch shoe . The disc brake offered later did have a spindle of its own . The drive shaft doe's have paint markings , the core support and sometimes firewall have chalk stick codes for the build . When I cleaned the drive shaft I found the colors for this cars build .

To add the bottom of the floors were just in red oxide primer , and had the over spray from when the car was painted .
