VIN code P74 is Crown Vic LX, so it isn't even a Mercury Marquis to start with...

Wow - it's looks to be pretty well done though. I bet Bill's right, probably no top. Plates could read "wasa4dr"!

It was at a Mercury show in Detroit a few years ago. No top and and I think when it sold at auction it was stated it could not be tittled to drive on public roads. maraconv.jpg

Brian, you are correct. I remember seeing the eBay auction put up by Ford, to benefit some charity. As I recall, it did not have side windows or a working top (or maybe any top at all, I can't accurately recall). And the eBay listing was FULL of disclaimers like the one pictured.

Don't kid yourself, just because they state it doesn't have a title, DOESN'T mean it doesn't find a donor, and in fact, IS driven.

I'm NOT going to give you examples, but know of a couple concepts that have been on the road for years.
