This pic was taken earlier this year. This is how the car leaves the starting line now with the 347 stroker motor and no Nitrous.

There was a big race event at our local track last weeked (Norwalk (OH) Raceway Park's Halloween Classic) - Attendance was down this year - to just over 1300 cars from last year's 1700!.

A guy went up to the Pinto as it sat in the pits between rounds. He stood there, just looking at the engine, then started walking away, saying something to the effect of "That motor's just too small for that car to do wheelies like that" :d

I like seeing the cars that aren't that popular, turned into drag cars. I've always wanted to build a Maverick Drag car. I love that pinto. Especially the wagons.
