Yup, it is, i`ve broght home a bunch of trophys on this Cougar after i painted it 3 yrs ago, and i even painted my 1:18 modelcar the same color, all pics under my name is the same cat and same color.

Wow, that is very similar to what I saw the other day and wanted to paint my 70 in, the colour I saw was blue and then went to purple, guess its the same principle, they call it 3 phase paint, which, naturally, means nothing to me, LOL

3 phase/stage paint means that you put it on in 3 stages, 1 the basecolor, in my case black, 2 the effect color, in my case the Kameleon effect, and 3 the clearcoat, in some cases the 2.nd coat is a tinted clearcoat, usually the candy colors is mixed in the clearcoat and then followed by a normal clearcoat.
In this case the black base is needed to get the Kameleon effect to appear, if you spray it on a white base it would probably take a million gallon of paint before the Kameleon effect appears
