Dual Purpose Spark Plug Socket

Dual Purpose Spark Plug Socket

This worked great for removing the coolant drain plug on the side of 351C blocks. slide the ratchet side of the socket over the square plug and use th e7/8 wrench to turn it out of there. It felt like the 3/8 wrench was going to round off the plug. had to improvise. :0 :)

Excellent tip! Try submitting that tip to the automotive press. They often run a feature on handy tips.

Also, I have always replaced these plugs any time I rebuild an engine. Either I use a brass plug (so it doesn't rust ino the block) or I install a radiator petcock. It makes for a quick and easy way to drain the block when you want to flush it out completely!
