These tires are for 17x9.5 and 17.8. I don't have a lot of money and about 400hp/430tq. I need something rotatable for a daily driver, but can also grip the road. Any suggestion with real life exp? Not "I knew a guy"
I have run my BF radial TA's a few times - but I also have old school traction bars and staggered shocks which helps. They are pretty good all around tires and about as good as your going to find in 14". since you have 17" I think you have way more options out there. I'd look aweful hard at the Nitto's or the M/T's they are pretty popular with the track guys these days. Not cheap I know....
I know "a guy" and I also have different sizes front and rear, so I don't rotate them. Nitto DR's have excellent road manners and a decent tread wear for a stickier tire. They even do well in the rain.
Ditto on the Nitto DR's. I used to have a 5.0 Ranger 5 speed, I was running 255 45 17's on the rear with 3.55 gear it did 1.90 60ft and best of 13.20 ET. I used them year around, even on snow and ice a couple times. They did cost about $150 each.
