    You can add me to your 1-2-3 list. I just purchased a 1971 XR-7 1/2 vinyl hardtop from the original owner that lives in Idaho. According to the numbers65F Z 6A O U 32 I have one of 60 hardtops painted Grabber Green Metalic, although it was repainted dark green before the owner would take delivery from the Dealership. Plans include restoration back to original color. Pics forthcomming.

    New owner here

    I recently acquired a 72 Std hardtop 351c 2v. My young son and I have big plans for it, my wife just trembles and wonders if trips to tropical beaches are now things of the past.

    I just bought a '73 XR7 for my 15 year old as a project. It's body is in nice shape, but the rest of it is going to be a major piece of work. Right now it's sitting in my mechanic's back lot.

    71 XR7 'C' code

    You can add me also , I have had this car for 20 years .
    Factory paint still , Competition Yellow , Black Leather , PW ,Seats, air, tilt , am/fm radio 4 speakers , rear window defog in glass , full console , power sun roof .

    I finally after 20 years, took the 1/2 vinyle top off , was always afraid there would be real bad rust in the roof ....there was a very small amount at the trailing edge of the sun roof .
    I can't seem to post pictures ....I'll work on it .

    I bought my 73 XR7 it for 2k the day I graduated high school. It was my sole transportation all through college - lots of good memories. Fast forward to the present. I haven't driven the car in 2 years now due to a popped freeze plug and some other issues. For some reason I've been especially lazy, but I'm now motivated to get it going again. I really miss driving it.

    Here's the current specs:
    351C Engine Specifications:
    * Rebuilt 2v Cleveland Heads
    - Crane Valvesprings 550" max lift
    - Manley Valves
    - Hardened Seats and Guides
    * Crane Powermax H-272-2 Cam
    - .524" int / .519 exh lift
    - 272 int / 284 exh duration
    * Weiand Xcelerator Intake
    * Edelbrock 600 cfm manual choke carb
    * Double roller Timing chain
    * High Volume Oil Pump
    * MSD Blaster 2 Coil
    * Mallory Unilite Billet Distributor

    Transmission:
    * Rebuilt C6
    * Transgo Shift Kit

    Interior:
    * New door panels
    * Repainted all interior pieces to match the new door panels
    * Re-upholstered headliner
    * Hurst V-Matic 2 Shifter

    Suspension:
    * KYB Shocks
    * Performance Suspension Technology Front Sway Bar

    Wheels:
    * American Racing Outlaw 15x8 front 15x10 rear

    Immediate Plans:
    * Fix freeze plugs
    * Finish moroso battery box installation
    * Prep and paint (same color - ford bright red)
    * Install Shift Kit in transmission - Done
    * Basically get the car running and driving nice so I can take it out occasionally.

    Here's some pics from this weekend - I was installed a shift kit and working on replacing the freeze plugs:
