    anyone installed an ididit steering column?

    I was wondering if anyone has put an ididit tilt column into their cougars? Any tips or things to look out for?

    What is correct length?
    1969 Cougar XR7 Convertible => Restomod
    Jim Meyer frt suspension, Total Control Products 4 link Rear Coil over, Total Control Products Subframe Kit,
    2005 GT disc rear brakes/ mustang steve brackets, Tremec 3550 5 spd w/ hyd clutch, warmed over 351W, MSD EFI, JBA 1655s headers,
    Eliminator scoop and spoilers.

    i installed the new solid state sequentional rear signals , and a gm type ididit coloum, any tips on the wireing set up to adapt under the dash?

    Connecting a GM switch in a 1967-68 Cougar requires some additional wiring. It cannot be wired like a Mustang.

    You also must use the WCCC LED rear bulbs and updated indicator relay to avoid burning out the switch.


    For the emergency flashers to work correctly, an Emergency Signal Adapter is required to supply the correct
    signal to the emergency warning relays located in the dash (67) and the trunk (67-68).
    This signal (514), not available from a GM switch, is +12V when the emergency flasher button is out (OFF) and open when pushed in (ON).
    The 1967 adapter can be constructed using with three Bosch-style relays and two diodes.
    The 1968 adapter is more complicated because of the way the turn indicator light grounds are connected.
