Ok talked with Jamie from Duffy's. He said its going to be tough to track a car by a paint job but he would try. Any chance on getting the date narrowed down a bit? Does the picture file have the date in it maybe?

I sent him an email with all the info i have... keeping my fingers crossed.

    Thanks again for the help!

In those pictures you can see a lot more. Wear and few dings, dual exhaust. I'll bet its been painted. Good luck.

Maybe try posting want ads with those pics in the Craigslist sites in ILL and Indiana? The car is so distinctive someone is bound to remember it and point you to it.

The car is still at large. Duffy's wasn't much help and the Craigslist ads haven't turned anything up. Kinda bleak at this point but i thought you guys deserved an update.

    Thanks for the help

There are no less than 50 relevant places you can post on the net. I would post on the WCCC facebook site, all four Cougar forums, CL in different places often, you get the idea... What about that site that tracks all ebay car sales over a number of years? You will find it... Cool story! BTW, bet money he is in our database. Write a compelling, interesting story and we may be able to help spread the word to our 15,000 customers.

Not to hijack the thread, but what are the 4 cougar forums? I know of mercurycougar.net, classiccougarcommunity.com & classiccougargarage.net. Which one am I missing?

I think this is one of those sites.

Or maybe this one (you'll probably want to remove the "eliminator" from the search field).
