Mindy & I are definitely going and I know a few other who are planning on attending.
The pancake breakfast starts at 7:00am at the Esparto High School although Mindy & I will be there ~9:30a-10A. It takes us an hour or so to get up there and I just can't get out of bed, wash the car, and get going before ~8AM. Last year by the time Mindy and I got there at 9:30A, the breakfast was over and we ended up just enjoying the car show & craft fair until noon. We then head up RT16 and ALWAYS stop in Rumsey for the BBQ & live band.
We will look to finish w/breakfast and business before 11:00a and go out to the car show & vendor fair right outside the school. Once we get everyone together ~12:00p, we'll head up RT16 towards Rumsey for the BBQ. The festival takes place in the towns of Esparto, Capay, Brooks, Guinda and Rumsey. Highlights include Rumsey ribs, Grammy Wyatt's Almond Rocha in Guinda, Capay Valley wines in Brooks and the tri-tip BBQ plate in Capay. Capay Valley Vineyards in Brooks will also be open for wine tasting and a wine and beer garden will be set up in downtown Esparto at the fire department. Some of us Bay Area cats may break west at RT16/RT20 interchange and come back down through Napa, while the SAC cats may want to break east at RT16/RT20 and head up to Williams and home on I5S. Of course you can always backtrack and head home that way.
Any way you choose it's a beautiful drive.
