    Several tiny chips in windshield

I found this Youtube video that I'm hoping will conceal all the tiny-sized chips in the windshield. Looks like 1 tbsp salt, 1 tsp Off bug spray, few tbsp rubbing alcohol, and a 1/2 or 14 cup of water, mix then apply to the scratch. The video has "crack" in the title, but for the life of me believe it's just a long deep scratch... Anyone tried this, or know of another way to seal up those tiny chips? Eric.

no that is a crack. All it does it soak into the crack then the salt probably crytalizes in the crack and appears to make it go away. It would likely wash away the first time it rained or you washed the car. I wouldnt do it unless you have plans of replacing it soon anyway. The alcohol and salt will eat at the laminate in between the 2 pieces of glass and cause it to turn milky faster than the normal rate that they all turn milky.

Nope, it's a crack. Temporary cosmetic fix at best. Might even make things worse.

Wow, that's a new use for youtube that I had not thought of, watch a video and chips disappear? Potato chips maybe, but windshield chips?
