    Forget Something?

Is it just me or do others forget crap all the time. I do not know if it is because I have so much on my mind all the time or what. You know, head out to the car, forget your cell phone, forget your wallet, forget your keys, forget your papers, forget your check book, forget the kids stuff. etc. Stuff like this, it drives me crazy every day!!!!

I think I just get way too ahead of myself all the time. If I actually gave it some thought to grab all these things first, I probably would not think this way!!!

Fear not my friend you are not alone.
I get so damned frustrated because I'll set down my coffee or my beer and can't remember where I put it. Or, I will set down a tool and then can't remember where the heck I put it and I'll spend 20 minutes looking for it.

The worst is when I walk back to the house to get something then forget what is was when I get there, only to walk back to the garage and remember what I needed! ARGHHHH

The latest one was yesterday. I was leaving the hotel from a business trip and when I walked by the closet, my clothes were still hanging up.

Yup, and I'm only 21 trapped in the body of a 49 year old,

    My glasses are just dandy
    My hearing aid is fine
My false teeth come in handy
But I sure do miss my mind

...... it doesn't get better. Big problem is when you can't find the list of things you have to do

Not 5 minutes ago, I forgot my hardhat when I stepped outside the change room. Offshore drilling rig. Those things can come in handy.

My memory WAS so good it used to "scare" people up until we had our first child almost 5 years ago. Add another to the mix almost two years ago, and now I can't remember anything. I need to make a written list throughout the day of what I need to accomplish that evening after the boys go to bed.

My son says he's getting me "Brain Age" for Christmas.

    http://www.brainage.com/launch/what.jsp

Smarta$$ kids! I tell him "Just you wait! The fruit doesn't fall far from the tree....".

I loose my lists also. That's why I've got to carry one of these around.

It's a crappy phone, but I put all my 'stuff' in there - to do, numbers, calendar, etc.

Now, what was this post about?

It's not the miles that get ya, it's the sudden stops along the way.

Ha! Well good, I am not alone. It is the simple things I forget when I am always in the middle of going somewhere it seems. I usually remember, but when I am half way down the driveway, times like that. And yes, the inevitable get to the detached garage and then have to walk back to the house in the blowing cold and snow to get something. That is when I get frustrated. It is bad enough when other people waste your time but to waste your own time...UGH.

How odd this topic pops up.
I just got back home from the Doctor where I went in to inquire about my own memory loss and back pain. But, I've had a sudden and acute decrease in short term memory paired with some odd speech issues.

He's sending me off to a neurologist to get my brain looked at since I have previous incident of cancer and am high risk for another round of it.
Also gotta get a Colonoscopy. I was hoping to put that off for another 15 years til I'm 50. Guess not.

    Make mine a Cleveland, please.

Last Sunday, I was working on the Fairlane. Putting parts back on it. Got to the steering box, now were did I put the bolts? I'm sure I put them with in a container and put them with the others. 2 and a half hours later I found that container. Hidden behind my compressor. Now were did I put that cup of coffee?
