    Brake conversion kit/rim upgrade advice

My 69 XR7 currently has the stock brakes + tire/rims and my next project is brake conversion + rim/tire upgrade. Looking for 4 wheel brake conversion kit recommendations + the needful rim/tire sizes.

Did some research on wheel size com which suggested
    225/50R17,
    225/45ZR18,
235/45ZR18 can be used (depending on brake caliber rim clearance
needs) without wheel/axle modification. Anyone used any of these configurations without clearance issues?
I believe the above sizes would require either the 17x8 or 18x8 sized rims depending on the brake conversion kit clearance needs.

Hoping to do the 4 wheel brake conversion done the right time.

Thanks Isabel. Did you have to do the Shelby drop on the front end to handle the 245/45/17 sizes?
