    Question New trailer purchase

Did a search and did not find up to date info. I am wondering what size trailer those who tow a 60-70 Cougar are using?
The best lengths are 16 foot or 20 foot? Standard width of 7+ feet right?

20ft I like the whole car on the trailer not having the back end hanging over the back end of the trailer, just incase. My last one was a 18 w/2 ft. dovetail so its a 20 ft deck total. .02

Cool. That sounds like a great thought. So the 20 footer was just about right.
I have noticed that there are alot of 16 footers and 18 footers around and was wondering what is being hauled on a 16 footer..I did think an
18 footer was right but maybe for the shorter 67-68 cats. Anyone else confirm that the best length trailer for a 69 cat is a 20 footer??

I dont think I'd go shorter thank 18 - particulalry if it's a tilt. That makes a pretty big difference on the angle. If you go with a beaver tail it's not as big of a deal..... having removable fenders is a plus!

    Re: New trailer purchase

Thanks Bad69Cat. I have looked at the tilts and they are much more expensive. In addition, many folks have had issues with aluminum cracking at the tilt area after a while. I do not mind aluminum slide in ramps so not looking at a tilt but definitely looking at all aluminum trailers. So does the 69 Cougar fit well on an 18 foot trailer pretty good? Not hanging over in back? If so, I would think that towing a little lighter trailer (18 vs 20 ) would be a plus as well as parking and so on being two feet shorter. Anyone carrying a 69 Cougar with an 18 foot trailer?? Please let me know what you think.!
