I took apart my passenger side headlight assembly to restore. One of the things I did was replace the backing behind the walking cougar. After reassembly, the only thing I had around was super glue to reattach the walking cat to the new backing.

I don't think this is the best solution, but it works for now. I'm wondering if anyone has found a simple, yet effective solution to this. A dab of gasket sealer perhaps, that can handle temperature swings? Epoxy? I want it to be secure, but not so permanent that if I have to get it apart again I won't ruin the cat.

Thanks for any ideas

If you must use glue - use "structural adhesive". Check Mcmaster-Carr or Ebay.
