: bc/cc with same gun

Hey experts, is it really necessary to use two different guns for bc and cc? Don`t want to spend a fortune on another gun that I might use 5 times in ten years. If a gun is cleaned very well in between base and clear, will that be good enough?

clean it out really well and you can use it. What kind of gun? some work better for clearcoat than basecoat, but theres nothing wrong with using the same gun for both.

Hey experts, is it really necessary to use two different guns for bc and cc? Don't know about the expert part however I use one gun and have different air caps, needles and fluid nozzles for the base and clear as well as acrylic enamel.

What tip do you use for base and clear. All I have is a 1.3.

1.3 should be fine for both. If you told us you had a 1.5 or 1.7, id be worried, but 1.3 is ok.
