Does anyone happen to know the name of the movie in which Martin Sheen has a flamed hot rod Ford named "California Kid" and he spends the whole movie trying not to run off a cliff from the local sherrif? I have not seen this movie in years.

Ah, yes. "A young man faces off against a sinister small- town sheriff while investigating his brother's mysterious death..."
Starring Stuart Margolin, Vic Morrow, Nick Nolte, Michelle Phillips, Martin Sheen & Joe Estevez.
You hit it right on the head - it's called "The California Kid". Released in '74.

392? Then it was a Mopar......Chrysler? They came with the 392 Hemi..... Let's see, I'll stick with the year, so '57 Chrysler. You want the model too?!?
How 'bout a 57 Chrysler 300?!?

You may be right, but I've always thought that it was a Sport Fury. I know that it was a 392 Hemi, the year was to early to be a 426. (Unless it was swapped and desquised.)
There is a scene in the movie that shows the engine, tho its been a few years since I've seen it:ylsup:
