I have asked and looked for the color code "D". That is what is on my door tag but I've been told there is no such thing as "D". HELP!!!

Depends which year you're referring to. If you're talking 1969, it's Pastel Grey.

If you're talking 1967, there is no "D". BUT, my suspicion is that it's more likely a "B" which is "Turqouise" or "O" which is "Sea Foam Green"...

CL/Sandra The "D" in 67 is acapolco blue in 68 med blue metallic and in 69 Pastel grey.Ford and Mercury use the same code but have a different name. The 67 is a Ford name;)

Ray,

I looked on Phil Parcel's decoder, "D" wasn't listed at all... Hmmm... Ah well.. I dunno. I would figure he would be in the know about that stuff.

Thanks Ray!!
I thought I was losing my mind, or the original owners had it painted. I have the original owner's card and a metal tag that has "D" and no way to confuse it with another letter.
Logan, guess you better tell that guy he's not up to speed on his codes. hehe
I'm happy now. :)

Hi Sandra,

According to my documentation:

In 1967, D was called Nordic Blue. There were 4,238 of 123,684 hardtops & 2,014 of 27,209 XR7s painted this color. If you post your interior trim code, I can be even more specific as to production figures.

In 1969, D was called Pastel Grey. There were 2,868 of 66,351 standard hardtops, 141 of 5,796 standard convertibles, 1,047 of 23,914 XR7 hardtops & 112 of 4,024 XR7 convertibles painted this color. Once again, if you post your interior trim code, I can be even more specific as to production figures.

Cheers,
Dan
