Hello All,
My '69 Boss 302 Eliminator is now officially for sale. I have been thinking about selling for many years now, and due to my job, family, and other commitments I have I decided to let a friend of a friend who owns a classic car dealership here in town to sell it for me. You can see the pictures and contact Art at his website at http://artsvett.com/. I will still be glad to answer any questions by email at kevpet11@gmail.com but all negotiations need to go through him.
I really did not know how much to ask, but had mid 40's in my mind mostly because of the rarity of the car and the average NADA book value. I have never in the 14 years of owning the car ever seen a 69 Boss 302 Elim sale so I did not have anything to reference. But I knew Art has had many years experience of selling classic cars and he would know.
He suggested $36,000, mainly because he said it needed detail to the underside of the car. The suspension components may be original (they do look like it). It has a factory service Boss 302 Block. It is missing the original Boss 302 air cleaner and shifter. I removed and still have the rocker moldings. They are average at best. I still have the styled steel rims that came with the car when I bought it. I don't know if they are original or not but they are correct. Interestingly, the car was originally bought new here and still resides in Bowling Green. I think it has been in Kentucky (Louisville, Elizabethtown) it's whole life. It is listed in the 1992 Boss 302 registry. It runs and drives great. I've never had any major issues with this car. It has no rust. It was repainted about 3 years ago and some surface rust in the door corners and along the driver door bottom was repaired. It has a very minor ding in the front left fender that is hard to notice. The fuel guage sending unit needs replacement. The the horn does not work. Headlights and tail lights and everything else work great.
Thanks,
Kevin
