    John?,
Thanks for the reply. I learned to drive on my Mom's 72 XR7 hardtop; and I have always thought about that car. Every now and then I would look up 70 model cougars on ebay. When I saw this one, I could't say no!

Jeff --- Sounds interesting, I’m in. What I have to offer to others is recent experience locating and buying vintage/scarce parts. I have also gotten some really killer deals/opportunities from EBay and the internet. Not to worry about me having tried to buy your car. At the time that the car was advertised, I had already sunk so much into my Cougar, I could not justify buying the other Cougar (yours), although I did offer to buy it for my wife. She told me we already have too many cars and need to get rid of one – I then offered to get rid of her Ford Escape. If I recall the ad correctly, your car is already mostly restored. Other than needing air in the left front tire, it looked turn-key ready. So what made/motivated you to buy your Cougar? I think that I recognize your car. Did you buy it a couple of months ago from Mustangs Unlimited in CT? I had seen the advertisment and made the mistake of showing it to my wife. Once she figured out how much (I had/I am) spending to fix/restore my 73 Cougar, she has stated several times that I should have bought the 'nice' one from CT.
